Our mission

The Office365 Saturday (aka o365s) program provides tools, resources, and support needed for local event leaders to organize and host a free day of office 365 training anywhere in the world. These events seek to:

  • increase an awareness of office 365 and its capabilities
  • provide opportunities to network within the office 365 community
  • help develop office 365 professionals

How it started

Office365 Saturday was founded in conjunction with the release of the technology on June 28, 2011. That's when the preparation for supporting a first event occurred. o365s was one of the first office 365 customers securing an accountant that now hosts all the o365s events.

Funding and Ownership

The Office365 Saturday brand and website are licensed for use at no charge to both groups and individuals who seek to host events.

Want to host an event?

We’d be glad to help organize a successful event in your area. Organizing an event requires a lot of planning and hard work but the results as seen in the improvement of the community are well worth it. The following is an overview of what's involved in hosting an event.

A successful event is one that meets the expectations of the attendees. It is for that reason that events are chaired by individuals in the local community.

The o365s team provides the following resources to help organize and execute an event:

  • An event project plan outlining key milestones and activities to consider
  • A website that allows you to provide a call to speakers, sponsors, and allows for attendee registration.
  • Administrative tools to help with activities such as scheduling speakers
  • An event logo
  • An e-mail address
  • Lots of how-to documents to run your event
  • Will also provide mentoring and support as needed to ensure that your event is successful!

We're putting together a wiki to act as an event guide for event leadership, budget coordination, speaker selection, session scheduling, marketing, volunteer coordination, venue selection, catering, and of course, marketing and socializing!
